AEW filed to trademark the term “Wednesday Night Dynamite” on June 18th. It is the latest indication that Wednesday is, in fact, the planned night for AEW’s weekly cable show.
Early indications had been it was between Tuesday night and Wednesday night that AEW weekly TV would air. The Tuesday night timeslot had been rumored since before the promtinon was officially announced. AEW filed for the trademark “Tuesday Night Dynamite” back in November.
Now it appears Wednesday October 2nd, 2019 is the likely first night the show will air.
“It now looks like the start date for TV will be 10/2 since the company has filed for a trademark on the name Wednesday Night Dynamite,” wrote Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
“There are still meetings going on regarding television, battle strategies, and a variety of ideas from the TNT side but Wednesday is pretty much the day unless something changes (and has been the favorite to be the day for months) with 8-10 p.m. being currently the most likely time slot.”
