Jeff Hardy is back in AEW!

On the April 12th episode of AEW Dynamite, Hardy made his return to AEW by saving his brother, Matt Hardy, when The Firm was assaulting him and Isiah Kassidy. Matt turned on The Firm on the April 5th episode of AEW Dynamite by costing Ethan Page a match with HOOK for the FTW Championship. On Wednesday night, Page demanded answers, and Matt Hardy revealed that he put a special stipulation in the contract for Page’s match with HOOK, hoping to free the Hardy Party from The Firm.

Big Bill and Lee Moriarty attacked Hardy and Kassidy from behind, and they maintained the advantage, even when HOOK tried to help, but Jeff raced to his brother’s aid and made the save.

Hardy had been absent from AEW since June 2022, when he was arrested for DUI in Volusia County, Florida. Hardy was suspended by AEW indefinitely, and he was permitted to return upon completing treatment and maintaining his sobriety. The DUI case was closed in February 2023. Matt Hardy was recently on record saying that he was optimistic that his brother would be back on AEW programming in the next 6-8 weeks.

Matt Hardy has consistently praised his brother for working to improve himself during his time away.
