Kris Statlander is back in AEW.

The AEW Women’s star made a much anticipated return to All Elite Wrestling while also putting an end to a lengthy winning streak once held by Jade Cargill.

Cargill put the TBS Title on the line against Taya Valkyrie at the AEW Double or Nothing event from Las Vegas, Nevada. The match was mostly dominated by Taya, who even hit an outside dive to Mark Sterling. There were some near falls including Taya hitting a curb stomp and her finisher before Jade got the win with her finisher to become 60-0.

Following the match, Mark Sterling cut a promo about how there is no one left to challenge Jade for the title only for Statlander to walk out to answer the open challenge. They kept it short as Statlander hit her finisher for the win on the exhausted Cargill.

This ended Jade’s 60-0 winning streak in AEW. Up to this point, Jade has been booked as a dominant force after beating Ruby Soho to become the inaugural champion in January 2022 on an episode of AEW Dynamite. Heading into the match, her previous title defense came against two local wrestlers on Friday’s episode of Rampage. Jade held the title for over 500 days.

Statlander suffered a completely torn ACL and lateral meniscus on the August 5th edition of Dark in a match against Sierra when she landed awkwardly on her right leg after connecting with a big boot. The following month, Statlander had surgery to repair the injury.

Many wrestling fans are happy to see Statlander back in a AEW ring, especially as the new AEW TBS Champion.
