NXT GM William Regal kicked off this week’s show with a big announcement. Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan, Street Profits, The Forgotten Sons, and Undisputed Era (Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish) will compete in a Ladder Match for the vacant NXT Tag Team Championship.
Gargano & Riddle Sent A Message To Undisputed Era
Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O’Reilly marched down to the ring to a great reaction. Adam Cole claimed that Undisputed Era is stronger than they have ever been and that they are all the same page. Cole claimed that Undisputed Era owned every superstar in the back and that they will not stop until they run this place. Adam added that O’Reilly and Fish will regain the tag titles and that he is going to take the NXT Championship from Johnny Gargano.
NXT Champion Johnny Gargano quickly interrupted and Cole got pissed off. Johnny smirked as he slowly walked to the entrance ramp. Gargano asked Cole to tell the truth for the first time in his career, and claimed that Cole knows that he could never beat him on his own. Cole called Gargano an idiot and boasted about winning the first fall at TakeOver: New York. Johnny stated that Cole doesn’t know how math works and that Adam certainly didn’t shock the school system.
Johnny broke it down for Cole, and said that you actually need to win two falls in a 2 out of 3 Falls. Gargano noted that he won two falls and asked Cole if he understood. Cole shouted that Johnny can be as condescending as he wants, but he knows that it eats Johnny alive that he pinned him at TakeOver.
Matt Riddle crashed the party and attacked Undisputed Era from behind. Johnny rushed to the ring and joined in on the brawl. Cole and Johnny traded shots as Riddle booted Strong out of the ring. Breeze stated that there can only be one Prince Pretty in NXT and then took a look at himself with his cellphone. Dream claimed that the spotlight of the NXT Universe wants a real man and not a boy that plays cops and robbers like Tyler Breeze. Velveteen added that Breeze doesn’t get to come to NXT and demand a spotlight because he failed on RAW and SmackDown.
Tyler responded by claiming his main roster run was uninspired, but Dream and the Velveteen Dream inspires him. Breeze added that an inspired Tyler Breeze is too much for Dream to handle. Velveteen joked about Breeze sitting in catering on Monday and Tuesday nights and told him to get at the back of the line.
Dream asked Breeze if he wanted to take a selfie with the champion, and Tyler accepted the offer. Breeze added that when Dream writes his phone number on his trunk and nobody calls you up, it is because nobody is interested. Breeze then punched Dream in the face and exited the ring.
