Seth Rollins remains on top of the flagship show of WWE, Monday Night Raw, as he’s still the Universal Champion once again.
Rollins defended the Universal Title against Baron Corbin at the WWE Super Showdown pay-per-view event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This marked the third show in WWE’s 10-year deal with the Saudi General Sports Authority.
At this show, Rollins beat Corbin in a short match. Post-match, Corbin hit End of Days. Brock Lesnar walked down to the ring after the match with a chair. Paul Heyman tripped getting into the ring and Rollins hit a low blow thanks to the distraction. Rollins hit Lesnar several times with the chair to end the segment.
Lesnar never cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase. Time will tell when WWE has Lesnar cash-in the MITB contract.
Lesnar dropped the Universal Title to Rollins in one of the main events of the WWE WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event in East Rutherford, NJ back in April. This served as the opening match.
